Dr. Jian-Bo Wan is currently an Associate Professor of Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) and State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, University of Macau. He received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Wuhan University in 2001, and his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences from University of Macau in 2008. Then, he moved to Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliated hospital of Harvard Medical School as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2008 to 2011. His current research interest mainly focuses on quality research in Chinese Medicine, chemical derivatization strategy for mass spectrometry-based lipidomics and metabolomics, and pharmacological study on Chinese Medicines for the prevention of metabolic diseases, including fatty liver and atherosclerosis. Dr. Wan has published over 180 peer-reviewed SCI papers, including Mass Spectrom. Rev., Commun Biol, Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol, Crit. Rev Food Sci Nutr, Anal Chim Acta, with a total citation of over 4,200 times and an H-index of 36 (web of science).
