Dr. Winston Chan, Saint Louis University trustee and chair of academic committee, and Mrs. Sheila Manion, Vice President for Development at Saint Louis University, visited University of Macau (UM) Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) on 27 Oct. They were warmly received by ICMS Director Xin CHEN and Dr. Wai San CHEANG.
Prof. Chen presented to the guests about the progress and accomplishments of ICMS and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (SKLQRCM). The delegation also visited the laboratories and core facilities in ICMS. The delegation appreciated the ICMS fruitful research achievements on standardization and internationalization of Chinese medicine. Saint Louis University has health professions and related programmes, particularly School of Medicine. Both parties exchanged experiences and ideas in research, teaching and learning to discuss potential areas of cooperation and partnership. The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to strengthen their ties and explore avenues for future collaborations.
