The 2018 Postgraduate Symposium on Chinese Medicinal Sciences was held at the University of Macau

The 2018 Postgraduate Symposium on Chinese Medicinal Sciences was held from October 28th to 30th at the N22 Research Building of the University of Macau. In this competition, 17 players from 9 universities of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao including Sun Yet-san University, Zhejiang University, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Hong Kong University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Guangdong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jinan University and University of Macau participated.

In order to better deepen the exchanges between academic research institutions in the field of Chinese medicine, and promote the understanding of the status quo of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences of University of Macau, the competition was organized by the International Chinese Medicine Association, co-organized by State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine & Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, University of Macau and sponsored by the Macao Foundation, it is a high-level competition for the Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao.

At the opening ceremony, Secretary-general of International Society of Chinese Medicine, Director of Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences & State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (University of Macau), Chair Prof. Yitao WANG gave a warm welcome speech, he reviewed the history of the Society and Institute, and sent his sincere expectation to all the participants, wishing them a pleasant journey.

The competition not only shows recognition to the achievements made by ICMS across the research community in recent years, but also enhances the friendship between students from different universities. It’s a good platform to display the latest scientific research progress in the field of Chinese medicine between various institutes, and is a big success.
